Have a checkup for your HVAC system every 2 years to make sure it is running efficiently. Be sure to clean the filter monthly during times of peak usage; a dirty filter can significantly reduce the efficiency of your HVAC. Savings: Reduce your energy bill by $100 per year or more!

Food Waste to Fuel with New Napa Renewable Resources Project

The City of Napa and Napa Recycling and Waste Services are working together to update operations at the Napa Materials Diversion Facility and transform it into the Napa Renewable Resources Project.

Bring Your Own Bag (BYOB)

The City of Napa has adopted the Single-Use Carryout Bag Reduction Ordinance to reduce the environmental and community impacts related to single-use plastic and paper carryout bags and to promote a major shift toward the use of reusable bags. Starting January 1, 2015, retail stores in the city of Napa may not provide single-use carryout plastic bags and must charge a minimum of 10 cents for each paper bag sold to customers. Customers have the option to bring their own reusable bags or purchase paper or reusable bags from stores.

The introduction of the MCE Napa County clean energy option is made possible through community choice aggregation (CCA). If you’d like to know more about CCA, we’ve put together some user-friendly resources to help answer questions about CCA programs in general and how a CCA will work in Napa County.
