Kids for the Bay offers exciting professional development opportunities for teachers and educators in Environmental Education. Our workshops and trainings focus on curriculum content and teaching strategies while modeling best practices for teaching the latest State Science Standards. Participants learn activities that provide access to content for diverse types of learners. Content is scaffolded and modeled at developmentally appropriate grade levels.
Join KIDS for the BAY’s ground-breaking Summer Academy for Educators! In this exciting environmental action course, educators will participate in five days of experiential learning. The Academy combines field trips and indoor hands-on learning that you can directly apply to any educational setting. Each day consists of six hours of activities,discussions, and curriculum integration planning. Strategies for teaching students with diverse cultural backgrounds and language needs will be modeled. KIDS for the BAY lessons and activities meet many California Science, Social Science and Math Standards
